Term: RAWTONHEX

Definition:
In Oracle PL/SQL, RAWTONHEX is a built in function which is used to get the hexadecimal equivalent of a raw input. Note that the returned output value is in National Character set format. It is functionally equivalent to:

TO_NCHAR(RAWTOHEX(raw_input)).

Example Syntax:

RAWTONHEX (expression)

Example Usage:

SELECT EMPNO EMPID, RAWTONHEX (EMPNO)  EMPHEX, ENAME, RAWTONHEX(ENAME) ENAME
FROM EMPLOYEE
