Oracle News / Re: java-script Alert problems help needed
« on: April 25, 2015, 08:29:34 AM »
I suspect your PC is infected, and I would recommend scanning it with a good anti-virus program. The code on our site has nothing to do with what you're experiencing.

Since my last post earlier this morning, I have done nothing just been sat watching television, Fifth Gear actually.
Google was sat there doing nothing, just on its home page.

I have just come back to my pc to check my mailwasher, (which was not running] and yes you guessed it, I have a "java-script Alert".

The top bar reads

java-script Alert - w   w   w   .23412...      [ please exclude the three spaces for the url address ]

Messge body reads

>> [then Chinese characters which I can't read]

I am now going to take a screen shot and save it for reference later.

Something that might be of interest, it measures 70mm long by 35mm high.

They have come in all sizes.

Oh by the way I never push the OK button on any of them.

What page are you on when the popup appears?

Hi There Mike
First of all, can I say I am sorry if this post of mine in situated in the wrong thread :'(   if it is can you please move it to the right one and pm me a link, thanks.  :)

I have been having this problem for a while now and unusually for me I don't know how to resolve it.
I have been getting a “java-script Alert” and no matter how I tried I could not get rid of it, I tried Google and came up with text on this site as seen below;
psoug   .   org   /   snippet   /   java-script   -   Confirm   -   Delete   _   122   .   htm   [ sorry about the three spaces ]
It pops up at any-time it feels like it
I thought at last, now I can get rid of this pesky little thing and move on with my life.
Try as I might I could not find a way to generate this script.

So my question is can you or someone please tell me how to get to this particular routine or section that will allow me to type in the required text.
My DOS command prompt reads;
C:\Users\User>
Or is it in the registry.
I currently run I.E 9
If you require further information please don’t hesitate to get back to me.
Kind regards
Tony
