Description of Duties:
Performs technical analysis, design and software development using appropriate technologies to support department and company objectives.
Work with analysts to define the functional and technical needs of an organization and recommend solutions.
Assess available technologies to meet needs, and then define technical specifications and designs.
Develop and modify technology systems, addressing functional, performance, security, quality, operations and monitoring needs.
Create detailed test scenarios, perform testing and analyze results.
Document all technology changes through appropriate change control.
Requires staying current on engineering approaches, technologies and techniques.
Determines methods, procedures on new assignments and may mentor and coordinate activities of other personnel (Team Lead).
Provides support and troubleshooting of prior developed technology solutions.
Ensures work is completed in such a way to comply with established compliance and other internal control requirement.
Software development and support using the Oracle framework including PL/SQL, Oracle ADF and Java.
Has close interaction with the Business Customer, Business Analyst, and BI Developers in the design, development, and maintenance of software solutions.
Translates functional specifications into technical specifications to meet and resolve business needs.
Works with Service Development teams to evolve package and custom applications into reusable components.
Authors and tests deployment instructions.
Develops, unit tests and deploys packaged and custom applications to meet Nintendo business requirements.
For packaged software, design application extensions to maximize supportability while maintaining an upgrade path.
Summary of Requirements:
Knowledge of Weblogic Application Server and Oracle development environments such as JDeveloper.
Technical expert on applications assigned.
Understands the business processes and use of the applications assigned.
Wide-ranging experience in software development using professional concepts to meet company objectives to resolving complex issues in creative and effective ways.
Experience with work on complex issues where analysis of situations or data requires an in-depth evaluation of variable factors.
Typically requires a minimum of 7 years of related experience in various software development technologies and practices.
Undergraduate degree in Computer Science, a related field, or equivalent. Post-graduate coursework may be desirable or required.
