$data = STREAM_GET_META_DATA( $fp )
FCLOSE( $fp );
PRINT_R( $data );
$data will contain something similar to the following:
    [0] => HTTP/1.1 200 OK
    [1] => Date: Sat, 23 Jun 2007 00:48:50 GMT
    [2] => Server: Apache/2.2.0 (Fedora)
    [3] => Last-Modified: Sat, 23 Dec 2006 20:05:47 GMT
    [4] => ETag: "9f2523-25b0-1716fcc0"
    [5] => Accept-Ranges: bytes
    [6] => Content-Length: 9648
    [7] => Connection: close
    [8] => Content-Type: image/jpeg
You'll want the Content-Length header for file size, or $data[6].
